A chic piece of 1970s Celine desk and vanity accessories, this brass vide poche dish is centered with the house's horse carriage logo, cast in fine relief against a slightly recessed, dark toned medallion. The wide, shallow bowl surrounding the medallion is finished in warm, burnished brass, giving the piece genuine weight and presence in hand.
The horse carriage motif was one of Celine's earliest house symbols, a nod to the brand's origins and its association with a certain kind of easy, French sophistication. Seeing it rendered here in such fine detail, down to the wheel spokes and the driver's posture, makes this dish a small but meaningful piece of the house's design history.
Beyond its original use as a catchall for keys, coins, or jewelry, the dish works equally well as a ring dish on a vanity or a small vessel for wrapped candies when entertaining. Measuring 5.5" across, it has enough scale to be genuinely useful while remaining compact enough to sit comfortably on nearly any surface.
A charming and well made piece for collectors of vintage Celine or anyone drawn to French decorative objects with real house history behind them.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
