This vintage Hermes cigarette box in sterling silver is a sleek, architectural piece of equestrian inspired design. The tall cylindrical body is finished all over in fine engine turned guilloche, a tight, rippling pattern that catches the light from every angle, and the hinged lid carries concentric guilloche around a smooth, plain cartouche at the center, ready for a monogram.
The spur motif is what makes the box unmistakably Hermes. A curved bail handle, modeled on a riding spur, arcs over the lid and ends in a slender shank, pivoting on a pair of small round buttons set into the sides of the body. The sculptural line is understated and graphic, and it turns an everyday smoking accessory into a small work of modern design.
Made in France by Maison Ravinet d'Enfert for Hermes, the box is crafted in sterling silver and bears a small hallmark inside the lid. Open it and the interior glows in warm gilding, with a removable gilt cross shaped divider that creates four compartments, ideal for sorting cigarettes, matches, or small treasures. The deep, generous interior holds a good supply and keeps everything neatly organized.
Measuring 3.8 x 3.75 x 3.5 inches, it is compact enough for a coffee table, bar cart or desk, and substantial enough to be a centerpiece. A superb find for collectors of vintage Hermes, sterling silver objet and equestrian inspired decor.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
