Crisp geometry meets quiet luxury in this Italian Art Deco decanter, a flat-sided glass bottle dressed in a fine gilt grid and finished with a stepped, ribbed collar of 800 silver. It is the kind of piece that looks as modern today as it did when it first appeared on a 1930s dressing table or drinks tray.

The design is all about contrast. The broad front and back panels are softly frosted, then ruled with slender gold lines in a precise grid that catches the light and glows against the satin glass. Clear, faceted edges frame each panel, and the shoulders and base step inward in the architectural, tiered manner that defines the Art Deco style. The matching oval stopper repeats the grid, so the whole bottle reads as one cohesive, graphic object. A ribbed silver collar, stamped 800 in an oval cartouche, seals the neck and adds a flash of bright metal, with the gentle darkening in the grooves that silver acquires with age.

On a bar cart or sideboard, it pairs beautifully with a pair of cut crystal tumblers, and it is equally at home as a decorative bottle on a vanity, a shelf or a mantel.
