This Must de Cartier cigar cutter is a compact, slim rectangular piece covered in fine horizontal fluting, the parallel ridges giving the surface a grip and a subtle sheen that shifts with the light. A stripe of yellow gold tone runs vertically across one end, a small but characteristic Cartier accent that breaks up the otherwise restrained silver toned body.
An oval cutout in the center of the body is the working heart of the tool, sized to accept a cigar for a clean, guillotine style cut. The sliding mechanism moves smoothly along the ridged body, keeping the piece slim and pocket friendly when closed.
Dating to the 1970s, this piece reflects the period when the Must de Cartier line was extending the house's design language into smoking accessories and desk objects. It is presented in its original Must de Cartier presentation box, a nice layer of complete presentation.
Made in France and measuring 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches, it is a refined, portable cigar accessory for a Cartier collector or anyone drawn to well made vintage smoking tools.

Who Are You Buying From?
Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
