This vintage sterling silver bracelet comes from Narvaez, one of the respected silver workshops of Taxco, Mexico, the town long considered the heart of Mexican silversmithing. Built from a series of bold, stepped rectangular links, each one set with a rectangular turquoise insert, the bracelet combines architectural, mid-century design with the warm blue-green color that defines so much of Taxco's output.

Measuring 7.25 inches in length and 22mm in width, with a total weight of 23.5 grams, the bracelet has a substantial, confident presence on the wrist without feeling heavy to wear. The ribbed, fan-shaped detailing between each turquoise panel adds texture and movement along the length of the chain, a hallmark of the sculptural approach many Taxco workshops took to silver jewelry in the mid-twentieth century.

Taxco's silver industry, shaped by figures like William Spratling and carried forward by a generation of skilled local workshops including Narvaez, became internationally recognized for pairing sterling silver with native Mexican turquoise and other stones in bold, modern designs. This bracelet is a strong example of that tradition, equally suited to everyday wear or as a collectible piece of twentieth century Mexican silver design.

A compelling find for collectors of vintage Mexican silver jewelry, Taxco workshop pieces, and turquoise set sterling silver designs.

Who Are You Buying From?

Every object here has a journey before it ever reaches you. I've spent years seeking these pieces out, in back rooms of old ateliers, from families who've inherited more than they can keep, through dealers I've come to trust, in conversations with people who still work with their hands, because I've always believed the things we choose to live with should carry something true. What began as a private obsession became a devotion, one I now share with my wife and daughter, who remind me daily that the best collections are the ones built to be passed down, not simply owned. What you're holding isn't just an object. You're inheriting its story, and becoming part of its next chapter.
