Walker & Hall Sterling Silver Wood Lined Box - England c.1930

 A beautifully proportioned vintage sterling silver cigarette box by Walker & Hall, this elegant English humidor dates to the 1930s and features a richly wood-lined interior designed to preserve cigars or cigarettes. Clean architectural lines, a gently stepped base, and a simple integrated pull handle reflect the restrained sophistication of British design during the interwar period.

The front bears a period presentation engraving dated 18 September 1935, adding an authentic historical touch, while the underside is engraved with the celebrated Clan Macpherson crest featuring the motto "Touch Not The Cat Bot A Glove." One of Scotland's oldest Highland clan mottos, the emblem depicts the wildcat a symbol of courage, independence, and fierce loyalty suggesting the box was likely commissioned as a personal presentation piece or family gift.

Freshly polished, the sterling silver exterior beautifully contrasts with the warm wood interior, making it equally suited as a cigar humidor, keepsake box, valet organizer, or distinguished desk accessory.
